Jinder Mahal's New WWE Allies Undergo Name Changes

Another Superstar's forename disappeared

Jinder Mahal returned to WWE TV earlier this week on Main Event and he had two allies with him.

The Modern-Day Maharaja defeated Jeff Hardy on the Hulu show and he was joined by Rinku Singh of Indus Sher and Dilsher Shanky in a new faction.

While news of Mahal's new group leaked earlier this week, the episode of Main Event aired last night and revealed Rinku has been renamed 'Veer' and Dilsher Shanky has lost his forename like so many Superstars before him.

WWE has since filed to trademark 'Veer' on May 3 for the following purposes: "IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of wrestling via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of wrestling information."

There is no word on if WWE plans to bring Mahal's faction to the main roster or if his return was just a test run. The former WWE Champion has spent much of the last two years on the shelf due to injury, but he did return to action in January 2021 at Superstar Spectacle.
