Joe Hendry To Challenge For WWE NXT Title At No Mercy 2024

TNA Wrestling star Joe Hendry is set to take his next steps in WWE NXT, with the ‘Local Hero’ set to face Ethan Page for the NXT Championship at NXT No Mercy on September 1.

Hendry won a number one contender’s triple threat match on the August 20 edition of NXT TV, with Hendry defeating Wes Lee and Pete Dunne - with a little help from Trick Williams. The match with Page at No Mercy will be Hendry’s first title opportunity in WWE, and his first shot at a major championship since falling short during the six-man elimination TNA World Championship match at Slammiversary in July 2024.

The NXT Championship won’t be the only title on the line at No Mercy, as NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez will put the title on the line against Jaida Parker, with Parker winning a gauntlet match on August 20 to earn the opportunity at the title.

NXT North American Champion Oba Femi will put the belt up against Tony D’Angelo at No Mercy, whilst NXT Tag Champions Chase U will grant a rematch against former champs Nathan Frazer and Axiom on the show.
