John Cena Signs New WWE Deal

John Cena re-signs with WWE

John Cena will remain a part of WWE beyond his 2025 in-ring retirement, with the 16-time world champion revealing on Club Shay Shay that he has signed a contract extension with the company.

"I have such a trustworthy relationship with them. Over two decades. I am a champion of the brand. I love the company. It is my home. They are my family. Even after 2025, I've already signed an extension to remain a member of the WWE family for the near, mid, and long-term future. I don't think there will be a beat of my heart where WWE blood doesn't come out of it," Cena said.

Cena signed with WWE back in 2001 and he is one of the company's biggest-ever stars. The 47-year-old has been part-time since 2017 but he will return to WWE for his retirement tour in 2025 where he will be on WWE TV from January until December, working 36 dates. The tour will see Cena be a part of WWE Raw's move to Netflix, while he will wrestle at his last-ever WrestleMania at 'Mania 41 in Las Vegas.

WWE's plans for Cena during his retirement tour are currently unknown beyond that Cena won't be hand-picking any of his opponents.
