John Cena Comments On His WWE Future

What does the future hold for the 16-time world champion?

John Cena's annual WrestleMania appearance was thrown into doubt earlier this week after the 16-time world champion said there "is no mathematical way" he can be at The Showcase Of The Immortals on April 10 and April 11. Cena is currently in Canada filming DC's Peacemaker and production of the show would have to shut down because of international travel restrictions if he opted to appear at 'Mania.

While Cena might miss WrestleMania, he revealed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that he will return to WWE at some point in the future.

"Yeah, I will [be back in WWE]. I just, unfortunately, you know, the state of the world. I'm not sitting on the couch there next to you. It's a difficult and unpredictable time and right now I'm doing this, I'm filming Peacemaker. And that's gonna take a lot of my time and I can't bounce back and forth due to international restrictions. So, at least for the time being, I'm here and I'm still away from WWE but I very much look forward to returning as soon as I possibly can," Cena said.
