John Cena Comments On Vince McMahon Assault Allegations

John Cena has spoken of his relationship with Vince McMahon following several allegations of assault

The wrestling world was shaken to its core in 2022 when WWE Chairman Vince McMahon stepped away from the company after several allegations of assault were levelled against McMahon.

In the aftermath of the allegations being made, McMahon retired from WWE with Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan taking over as co-CEOs. McMahon would later return to the company in early 2023 to help facilitate a sale, reportedly to mixed feelings from some members of the WWE locker-room.

Despite the serious allegations levelled at McMahon, John Cena seemingly remains loyal to his former boss, with the WWE legend saying the following about his relationship with McMahon during a Q&A session with the Associated Press:

“No (it is not hard to reconcile the feelings I have for Vince McMahon with the allegations against him). I mean, everyone has the right to have their perspective. I have the right to have mine. When you love somebody, you take them as imperfectly perfect as they are. We all make mistakes, we all have poor decisions. Lord knows I’ve made my collection of poor choices. That doesn’t mean I’m not going to love somebody. There’s no way I can go on record and say I don’t love Vince McMahon,” said Cena.
