John Cena's final WWE match will take place at the December 13 edition of Saturday Night's Main Event in Washington, DC and the 17-time world champion has been involved in the booking of the show.

Cena appeared in Boston, Massachusetts for the final time as a WWE wrestler on Monday's Raw, and Cena announced to open the show that main roster talents will face off against NXT wrestlers in exhibition matches at Saturday Night's Main Event.

Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer has reported that NXT talents having matches at SNME was Cena's decision and the 48-year-old loved his recent time at the WWE Performance Center.

Cena twice visited the WWE Performance Center in October, and he thanked the developmental talents following his second visit.

"Being coachable can open our minds to learn. Thank you to all the superstars at the WWE PC for sharing with me different perspectives of our business. I spent the week digesting their feedback & was grateful to be able to return today for another chance to learn & share wisdom," Cena tweeted.

John Cena only has three more appearances until his WWE retirement. A tournament is ongoing to determine Cena's final opponent, although it has already leaked who Cena will face on December 13.
