Jun Akiyama Wants AEW Matches With Chris Jericho & Jon Moxley, Rematch With Eddie Kingston

Jun Akiyama has unfinished business in AEW

After months and months of asking, Eddie Kingston finally got to stand one-on-one in an AEW ring with the legendary Jun Akiyama, with Kingston defeating the ‘Fifth Pillar of Heaven’ at AEW Full Gear 2022.

However, it seems as though Akiyama is keen on a return to AEW, revealing to Dark Puroreso Flowsion that there are several talents he would like to face:

“I would like to play a match is given the chance. It’s Chris Jericho, who is in condition at the same age, and [Jon] Moxley, who I have never played against before,” said Akiyama.

Akiyama also stated his desire to wrestle Kingston again:

“I was happy to hear that Eddie saw our wrestling and became a professional wrestler with courage and hope. I wanted to respond to that feeling by fighting in AEW,” said Akiyama, with Dark Puroreso Flowsion adding that Akiyama responded after their interview took place stating he would like a rematch or to tag with Eddie Kingston.

Now part of DDT Pro, Akiyama is best known for his run in All Japan Pro Wrestling in the 1990s, and his main event run in Pro Wrestling NOAH at the dawn of the millennium.
