Kalisto Heard Rumours Of LWO Revival In WWE

Could the faction return?

Former WWE Superstar Kalisto has revealed he heard rumours the Latino World Order would be revived during his time with the company.

"I believe that there was never a moment. It would have been perfect after the picture we took in Saudi Arabia where we had Sin Cara, Humberto, and Cain Velasquez, and that's my boy right there. I think someone did pitch it at some point, but I was not sure on whether it was only for T-shirts or if there was an agreement in booking the faction, but I constantly heard rumours saying that it was going to happen and I was like 'ok, let's see what happens.' It did not materialise," Kalisto told Lucha Libre Online

"But it would have been really cool, especially after my web promos where I threw jabs at Rey and company after I had their blessings to do so. It never happened because creative had their focus on certain people and it was always going to be difficult to fight for airtime on TV."

The LWO was a short-lived group in World Championship Wrestling from October 1998 to January 1999. The faction was a parody of the nWo and top Mexican talent like Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, La Parka and Hector Garza were all members.

Rey Mysterio was recently asked about the group and he revealed he believes it would be a "huge success" in WWE today. The company would have plenty of talent to choose from for the stable, with the likes of Humberto Carrillo, Angel Garza and The Mysterios all on the roster.
