Kane Returning On This Week's WWE SmackDown, 3 Matches Announced

Big Red Machine heading for the Royal Rumble?

After making an appearance on Stone Cold Steve Austin's Broken Skull Sessions following NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II last weekend, it has now been announced that Kane will be appearing on this week's SmackDown.

Here's what was said on WWE.com:

"Former WWE Champion and current Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, Kane makes his return to SmackDown this Friday for a special appearance.

"The Big Red Machine has competed in more Royal Rumble matches and has more eliminations than any Superstar in WWE history, and with the match on the horizon, could Kane be ready to make history once again?"

Kane made a couple of appearances for WWE towards the end of last year, winning the 24/7 Championship from R Truth as well as getting decimated by 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt.

Three matches have also been announced for this week's blue brand show with John Morrison taking on Big E in singles action, Lacey Evans facing Sasha Banks (if The Legit Boss isn't too busy recording her rap album this week, of course) and Roman Reigns taking on Bobby Roode in a Tables Match.
