Karl Anderson Match Pulled From NJPW Battle Autumn

No Karl Anderson at NJPW Battle Autumn

Karl Anderson's match at Battle Autumn on November 5 is off.

Machine Gun KA was scheduled to defend his NEVER Openweight Championship against Hikuleo in Osaka at Battle Autumn but New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced today that after being met with no response from Anderson, they have been left with no choice but to cancel the title match.

NJPW noted in a statement: "NJPW holds its champions to the highest standard of professionalism. We deeply apologise for the inconvenience and disappointment caused by this matter."

Hikuleo will still be in action at Battle Autumn and he is scheduled to go one-on-one with Yujiro Takahashi in a special singles match.

Anderson was double-booked on November 5 as he will be in action at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. The current hostilities with New Japan are reportedly part of a storyline and KA is still expected to work dates for NJPW in the future. Relations between NJPW, WWE, and KA reportedly remain "fine" and New Japan knew The Good Brothers were heading back to WWE in August.
