Kazuchika Okada Advances To NJPW G1 Climax 31 Final

Okada is in the final!

The Rainmaker is in the G1 Climax final once again.

The final round of B Block matches took place today at the Nippon Budokan and Jeff Cobb took on Kazuchika Okada in the main event.

Cobb went into the match undefeated, only needing to not lose to advance to the final, while Okada - who lost to Tama Tonga on October 14 - needed a win to advance.

Both men fought back and forth during the contest but it was Okada who walked away with the victory following a Sit-Out Tombstone and Rainmaker.

With the victory, Okada wins the B Block with 16 points, having defeated Jeff Cobb, Hiroshi Tanahashi, EVIL, YOSHI-HASHI, Hirooki Goto, SANADA, Taichi and Chase Owens.

The five-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion will compete in his first G1 Climax final since 2014, when he defeated Shinsuke Nakamura.

Okada will face Kota Ibushi on Thursday, October 21 in the G1 Climax 31 Final. The Golden Star won the A Block on Monday following a victory over KENTA.
