Kenny Omega References CM Punk On AEW Dynamite
This is Omega's second Punk easter egg
Ahead of his rumoured debut this Friday on AEW: Rampage The First Dance, AEW dropped another CM Punk reference on Dynamite, as Omega subtly referenced The Second City Saint.
During The Young Bucks AEW World Tag Title defence against Jurassic Express, Kenny Omega ran out to cause mayhem by attacking Marko Stunt, before The Super Elite beat down Jurassic Express and Christian Cage.
Whilst all this was happening Omega had a black t-shirt on that said ‘Chick Magnet’, two weeks after wearing a ‘Cookie Monster’ t-shirt. Originally CM Punk was in a tag-team called The Chick Magnets, and this is what the CM in CM Punk stands for. Punk has also said it stands for Cookie Monster, Charles Montgomery, and Chuck Mosley (the original singer of Faith No More) before confirming it stood for Chick Magnet during his slander trial against WWE Senior Ringside Physician Chris Amaan.
At this point, it seems almost certain that Punk will be All Elite, but if he isn’t then Kenny Omega is the biggest heel on the planet for this alone.
