Kenny Omega Retains Impact World Title, Don Callis "Fires" Sami Callihan At Against All Odds

The Super Elite stranglehold continues

Kenny Omega is still the Impact World champion after Saturday night's Against All Odds, after defeating Moose in a 23 minute main event.

The match (which was filmed in Jacksonville's Daily's Place over a week prior to the live Impact card, according to Fightful Select) concluded with interference from The Young Bucks.

The referee was bumped after Omega pulled him in the way of Moose's spear. With the referee down, Matt and Nick Jackson hit the ring, and barraged Moose with superkicks, as well as a BTE Trigger. They then helped Omega lift Moose up so that the champion could hit the One Winged Angel for the victory.

After the match, Sami Callihan (Omega's scheduled opponent for Slammiversary on July 17) attacked Omega and the Bucks with a baseball bat. He was about to hit Omega with a chair when Don Callis intervened. After admonishing Callihan, Callis fired him from Impact.

The event ended with Callis and Scott D'Amore in the midst of a heated argument.

Omega has reigned as Impact champion since April 25, when he defeated Rich Swann at the Rebellion pay-per-view. That match was also for Omega's AEW World Heavyweight title.
