KENTA Once Again Addresses Rumoured Forbidden Door Match With CM Punk

KENTA still wants a big sack of cash to face CM Punk

KENTA has once again addressed the possibility of facing CM Punk at the upcoming AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view on Sunday, June 25.

It has emerged in recent weeks that CM Punk vs. KENTA is planned for Forbidden Door after years of hostility between the two men due to Punk adopting KENTA's Go To Sleep as his finishing move. KENTA has previously commented on the match but their rumoured confrontation was brought up again after news broke that Punk discussed KENTA in his upcoming interview with ESPN.

Punk is believed to have spoken in a way that "would blur the lines and create buzz for upcoming shows" in the chat with ESPN and the 44-year-old reportedly may "come across badly" in the interview about any match with KENTA.

Responding to a tweet about the report, KENTA reiterated that he wants a big bag of cash to work any match with Punk.

"Hahaha. Me too. It is ZERO interesting without money. Also I'm so p**** that they planned our match without my permission and going to make it with NO BAG. This is my personal fued. F**K YOU," KENTA tweeted.

Matches already announced for Forbidden Door include Bryan Danielson vs. Kazuchika Okada, Kenny Omega vs. Will Ospreay for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Title, and SANADA vs. "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
