KENTA Reacts To CM Punk Attending NJPW Battle In The Valley

CM Punk was in attendance for NJPW Battle in the Valley, and KENTA has responded

New Japan’s recent Battle in the Valley event was certainly highly anticipated, with the in-ring debut of Mercedes Moné, and the Loser Leaves NJPW match between Jay White and Eddie Kingston helping stoke interest ahead of the show.

However, it seems that some of the fans in attendance at the event caught the imagination of the wrestling world, in particular former AEW World Champion CM Punk, who was in attendance with Rancid’s Lars Frederiksen.

News of Punk’s attendance seemingly made its way to the New Japan locker-room, with KENTA saying the following on Twitter about Punk:

“I heard that my biggest fan in the world came to arena last night. I hope he enjoyed REAL Go2Sleep”

Punk famously adopted KENTA’s signature move upon signing with WWE, and since then fans have wanted a match between the two to go down. Such efforts have constantly fallen flat, despite KENTA’s best efforts, and with CM Punk’s AEW status still up in the air the chances of it happening at a potential AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II event this year seem slim.
