Blackwood in action

A rising star on the independent wrestling scene will be in action at Battle Of Los Angeles 2022.

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla announced on Wednesday that 31-year-old Kevin Blackwood will be a part of BOLA 2022, tweeting: "Kevin Blackwood is the third entrant in the 2022 Battle of Los Angeles!"

Already set for the tournament is IWTV Independent Wrestling Champion Alex Shelley and new NJPW and IMPACT Wrestling star JONAH.

Battle Of Los Angeles had been on hiatus for the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic but the tournament will return on January 29 and January 30, 2022.

Blackwood recently made his PWG debut in a loss to Lee Moriarty at It's a Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll) in November. He is also the current ESW Heavyweight Champion, having defeated Daniel Garcia for the gold.

Blackwood has wrestled a handful of times on AEW Dark as an enhancement talent, last appearing on the YouTube show in June of this year.
