Ric Flair Heaps Praise On Samoa Joe

The Nature Boy is a fan of the Samoan Submission Machine

When Samoa Joe and Brock Lesnar faced off in WWE, many fans hoped Joe would defeat ‘The Beast Incarnate’ and lift the WWE Title, with ‘The Samoan Submission Machine’ believable in his rivalry with Lesnar.

The fans weren’t alone, as two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair also liked Joe’s interactions with Lesnar, pouring praise on the former NXT Champion on the Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast:

"I like Joe a lot,” started Flair. “I got a lot of time for him. I think he's good on the mic. He's one of the few guys that, when he grabbed [Brock] Lesnar, it was believable. Going back to what I said last week, those Samoan kids are not only tough, they can all work – and they're tough kids."

Flair and Joe worked together in TNA during The Nature Boy’s tenure there, but the two never fought, with Flair revealing he wouldn’t have been able to deal with "a big guy" like Joe at his age anyway.

Samoa Joe was last seen on WWE TV in August when he won and subsequently dropped the NXT Championship, after defeating Karrion Kross at NXT: TakeOver 36.
