On a recent episode of chicken and hot sauce interview phenomenon Hot Ones, Hollywood star Kevin James talked about his past wrestling WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley in high school.

On how this unlikely union came about, James said: “I played football, and never wrestled before, but they needed another heavyweight to go with Mick [on the team]. So they brought me over, and we had some battles.

“I used to throw him around a little more, I think I was in better shape than him.”

The two soon embarked on different careers, but the King of Queens star recalls how even in high school Foley had an eye for a spectacular bump: “That’s where the mind [for pro wrestling] was developing. I remember him jumping off his roof on cardboard boxes, he was just doing these weird things and he’s the nicest guy ever.

“He’s incredible, writes children’s books, does so much for charity. Just a great, great guy. But he’s definitely a little off,” said James while pointing to his head.

James’ pals Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider had ties to WWE, appearing ringside at WrestleMania 21. It’s a surprise that James himself never got involved on screen with Mrs. Foley’s baby boy.
