AEW has made a brand new signing, as it was revealed yesterday that Kevin Knight is officially All Elite, receiving his own “All Elite” graphic. On last night’s episode of AEW Collision, Kevin Knight competed in his first match on AEW weekly programming in a losing effort to Jay White in singles action. White offered some praise to Knight after the match, shaking his hand and stating that he expected to see a lot more from Knight going forwards.
In the aftermath, AEW President Tony Khan announced that Knight was officially “All Elite” on social media. Knight is a former NJPW young lion, beginning his journey in Japan in 2020 and winning the IWGP Junior Tag Team Championships throughout his time in the promotion. He has also worked in the likes of Major Leaf Pro, GCW, and Progress across recent months.
It has been revealed by PWInsider that Knight had recently rejected a WWE tryout in order to sign with WWE, after having been invited recently to the WWE Performance Center.
Knight wrestled in a few matches on AEW Dark back in 2022, in addition to appearing at the 2022 Forbidden Door Zero Hour show, but since then has had little to do with AEW aside from the odd match here and there on ROH.
