Further details about Kevin Owens' new WWE contract have been revealed.

It was reported yesterday that the former Universal Champion had signed a new multi-year deal with Vince McMahon's company after they made him "an excellent offer" to stay.

Such was the size of that offer that individuals within All Elite Wrestling believed the promotion couldn't realistically match what WWE was willing to pay.

In an update on KO's new WWE contract, Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Owens has put pen to paper on a new three-year deal for $2-3 million per year.

"He's signed a three-year deal with WWE. I believe it was actually a couple of weeks ago when this happened... It's a very good money deal. I think the feeling was it was more than he would be able to get with AEW and it's $2-3 million, in that range, per year. It may be," Meltzer said.

Owens' new WWE contract instantly makes him one of the company's top earners, with only a few Superstars like Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns reportedly earning above $3 million.

Meltzer also noted that Owens' new deal does not include a no-cut clause, meaning WWE would be able to release him. The company has made huge cuts to their talent roster in 2021 and over 80 Superstars have been let go.
