Kevin Owens Still Wants WWE Tag Team Title Run With Sami Zayn

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have yet to win tag team gold in WWE despite success elsewhere

While he is currently a singles talent, Kevin Owens has had his eyes on winning the tag team titles in WWE for the past few years and The Prizefighter revealed on the TWC Show that he still wants to capture the gold with real-life best friend Sami Zayn.

"Of course. I've never been a tag team champion. I'd love to be tag team champion with anybody. Well, maybe not anybody. There are a couple of guys I could see myself winning the tag team titles with, obviously, Sami is at the top of the list. That would be the ultimate good moment for us, to achieve that. We've been tag team champions everywhere we've went, except for WWE. We definitely have to get that checked off the list soon enough," Owens said.

Owens and Zayn have previously experienced tag team success together, having captured the PWG and ROH tag team titles before they joined WWE. Owens has come close to winning tag team gold in WWE, most recently earlier this year when he and Seth Rollins challenged for the Raw Tag Team Championships.

The Usos are the current Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, having unified the SmackDown and Raw belts. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are currently on opposite sides as The Usos interfered in Kevin Owens' match with Drew McIntyre earlier this week, while Zayn is an honorary member of The Bloodline.
