Kevin Owens To Face Logan Paul At WWE Royal Rumble
Logan Paul will defend his US Title against Kevin Owens
Over the last several weeks several superstars have been battling it out in the United States Championship number one contenders tournament, with the winner being granted a shot against Logan Paul at the upcoming WWE Royal Rumble PLE.
Last night on SmackDown, Kevin Owens defeated Santos Escobar in the finals to earn himself the match against Paul - someone who he has developed some issues with throughout the course of the tournament. Owens’ road to the final also saw him outlast NXT’s Carmelo Hayes and rival Austin Theory.
Following this victory against Escobar, Owens was confronted by the United States Champion Paul, who was sitting on commentary throughout the course of the match, and he proceeded to cut a promo insulting Owens. This led to Owens laying out his future opponent with a brutal blow with his casted arm, leaving a legit big red mark on Paul’s face.
Paul won the United States Championship back at the Crown Jewel 2023 event, defeating Rey Mysterio to become champion. The match against Owens at the Royal Rumble will mark Paul’s first official title defence of this reign.
