Former WWE Tag Team Champions Officially Return On SmackDown
A return took place on SmackDown last night
After a return was teased during vignettes over the last couple of weeks, Akam and Rezar of the Authors Of Pain are officially back on WWE TV. Video packages have been shown in recent weeks on SmackDown hyping up the return and repackaging of Karrion Kross, and in the background fans spotted the silhouettes of what looked like the former WWE RAW Tag Team Champions AOP, along with their former manager Paul Ellering.
On last night’s Friday Night SmackDown, Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits were in the ring for a promo segment, only to be interrupted by Karrion Kross & Scarlett. They were soon joined by Ellering, and that distraction led to the AOP being able to ambush the three men standing in the ring. A beatdown ensued, and Kross stood tall with the AOP.
Akam & Rezar have reportedly been signed to WWE for well over a year, but have been sitting on the sidelines awaiting a creative direction. Finally, after a year and a half (give or take) they are back in the mix and a part of the SmackDown roster.
