Kevin Owens WWE Return Date Reportedly Revealed

Could we see The Prizefighter at WrestleMania 35?

Kevin Owens was written off WWE TV a few weeks ago thanks to an attack from a then-freshly turned heel Bobby Lashley. Soon after the angle had played out, KO posted a picture to his Twitter account showing both of his legs heavily bandaged, confirming the news initially broken on WWE.com that he had indeed gone under the knife for surgery.

Now, thanks to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, we have the first inkling as to when we could potentially see the former Universal Champion back in action. According to Uncle Dave, Owens will be back in a WWE ring at the end of February/beginning of March 2019.

It's a short one, but here's what Meltzer had to say on Wrestling Observer Radio: “Kevin Owens is due late February, early March but they may hold him off until after WrestleMania.”

This timeframe could work out perfectly for Owens and his guardian angel, Sami Zayn. Sami tore both of his rotator cuffs in the middle of this year and like Owens, is expected to be back during WrestleMania season. What chance we see the pair attack one of the big hitters on the Raw after WrestleMania? It would certainly be one hell of a way to make a return.

Owens, if this report is accurate of course, will be bemoaning his luck as he recently challenged 71-year-old Elton John to a match at WrestleMania after the singer cancelled a concert KO and his wife attended minutes before it was due to begin. It looks like this return date has ruled out any chance of that monumental matchup happening.

There's always WrestleMania 36, I guess...
