Reason Finn Balor Missed This Week's WWE Raw Revealed
It's illness, not injury...
Dec 11, 2018
Last week it was reported by many sources online that Finn Balor was sent home from WWE's tour of South America due to an undisclosed reason. The leader of Balor club took part in one match on the tour, but was then sent back to the states.
Per
PWInsider, we now know why Finn was sent home - and it was due to illness rather than injury. This is why those watching last night's WWE Raw will have heard Michael Cole et al speak with confidence when talking about the scheduled matchup between Balor and Drew McIntyre actually happening on this Sunday's TLC pay-per-view.
Here's what PWInsider had to say on the matter: "While the issue hasn't been officially confirmed yet, PWInsider.com has been told it's an illness, not an injury. We are told the company expects Balor to be OK to face Drew McIntyre this weekend, which is why their bout is still being advertised for this Sunday's WWE TLC PPV in San Jose."
Fans of Balor must have been fearing the worst when it was announced that his place in the Mixed Match Challenge would be taken by Apollo Crews from now on. The team of Bayley and Crews face Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox tonight following SmackDown Live. This followed a beatdown angle on last week's Raw that saw McIntyre lay Finn out in the backstage area after the Irishman allowed Dolph Ziggler to pick up a shock win over the Scottish Psychopath. Thankfully, this was used to give Finn some time to recover rather than write him off TV indefinitely.
