Kofi Kingston Provides Update Following Ankle Surgery

Kofi Kingston was recently ruled out with an injury which led to him missing a fatal five way match to determine the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 39. The full extent of the injury wasn’t immediately revealed, though it was noted that Kingston needed surgery.

The surgery is now complete and Kingston is on the mend, with him taking to Instagram to reveal how the surgery went, posting a FaceTime screenshot with himself talking to Xavier Woods and Big E of the New Day, along with a caption;

“Surgery went very well! Of course I had to FaceTime the boyzzz upon regaining consciousness…Very little recollection of the conversation, lol. Thanks to everybody who sent me a message! I appreciate it more than you know! I’m home now. Let the road to recovery begin!”

It isn’t known how long Kingston will be out for, but signs point towards him potentially missing WrestleMania 39, which is a shame. Either way, all the best goes to Kingston for his recovery and eventual return to the ring.
