Kofi Kingston Reveals The Moment He Came Closest To Quitting WWE

WrestleMania 35 WWE Championship challenger almost left the company...

Kofi Kingston will be facing "The New" Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35 on Sunday evening.

While his fortunes have gone up, and up, and up since SmackDown Live's Ali was ruled out of the Elimination Chamber match through injury a couple of months back, it hasn't all been plain sailing for Kofi during his time working for Vince McMahon.

Speaking to Booker T's Hall of Fame podcast, The New Day member revealed the moment he came closest to quitting WWE happened back in 2014, just as he, Big E, and Xavier Woods were getting going as a trio: "The closest time I've come (to quitting WWE), I don't want to say it was the lowest point of my career, but before I joined the New Day, I was at a point when I would go out there and be the happy go lucky guy who was gonna have a great match and probably end up losing.

"At a certain point, when you keep going out there and doing the same thing over and over again, it gets repetitive and boring. It was at that point, I didn't know how much longer I would be able to do that."
