Kofi Kingston has revealed that The New Day 'fantasise' about being heel in WWE all the time, but says Vince McMahon wouldn't permit it because of how popular the group is.

Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods formed their faction in 2014 but, despite trying to be good guys, were rejected by the WWE Universe. A heel turn followed, turning the trio into one of the most hated acts in the business.

Now established as one of the biggest babyface groups in WWE, Kingston says he and the rest of the New Day would love to be heel again because it means they can yell at children.

However, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon wouldn't give sign-off on such a move because of how well New Day have done as babyfaces.

Speaking to Metro, when asked about a New Day heel turn, Kingston said: To be honest, we fantasise about it all the time. I tell people that I had the most fun in my career when I was yelling at children, and threatening to ground children, and threatening children.

I used to love just doing out there and antagonising children. They will always remember that moment of when, 'I cheered for this guy against The New Day, he threatened to ground me but my guy beat him'.

"I love that dynamic, it’s so much fun and we think about it all the time, but these people won’t stop cheering for us. These people like their pancakes and their Booty-Os too much. It’s not a realistic pitch, because usually if you go to pitch something, what you’re doing usually shouldn’t be working. Ours is working a little bit too well.

"You have to be able to provide the evidence, you have to be able to make your case. 'OK, why do you wanna change what’s working so well for me and making me so much money?' 'Oh, we just wanna yell at kids, Vince!'"
