Lucha libre sensation El Hijo Del Vikingo is the man of the moment, with the AAA Mega Champion earning plaudits after being exposed to a wide wrestling audience due to the recent headline-grabbing performances in AEW and Ring of Honor.
Vikingo wrestles a relentless frenetic style, but its clear that it is not a style that can last forever. Mexican legend Konnan agrees, revealing on Keepin’ it 100 that he and Rey Mysterio have already given Vikingo advice for his future:
"Not only have I told him, I had Rey Mysterio tell him. He already needs a knee operation and Rey has had 14, so I told him to talk to Rey and Rey's giving him very good advice because I want that guy to last. He's talented and he's a good kid,” revealed Konnan.
Vikingo’s match with Kenny Omega on the March 22 edition of AEW Dynamite received critical acclaim, with Dave Meltzer awarding the bout five stars. Vikingo went on to have several showings for the likes of ROH and GCW over WrestleMania weekend that also received widespread acclaim.
