Konnan Believes AEW's Brian Cage Will Go To WWE

Cage has been sporadically featured by AEW in the second half of 2021

There has been much speculation over Brian Cage’s future in AEW, helped in no small part by reports that ‘The Machine’ has been frustrated with his run as of late.

Whilst frustration is one thing, Cage is still part of the AEW roster, and despite trying to dispel rumours that he is unhappy, Cage’s name still gets linked elsewhere, and lucha legend Konnan believes Cage will end up in WWE.

Konna made the claims on the Keepin’ it 100 podcast, saying:

“I found out about him because Norman Smiley who works there as a trainer in WWE said ‘hey they’re releasing this guy and he is a good guy, can you help him in Mexico. He did a tryout match with Eli Drake, they were a team somewhere in California and they went for a AAA tryout and that is where I met him. He was always bummed that he did not make it in WWE so I think that was always his dream.”

Cage last wrestled on AEW TV in October, and his wife Melissa Santos took to social media in September to criticise the way in which AEW were treating Cage, believing Cage has been lost in the shuffle for most of 2021.
