Konnan Confirms AEW Are Set To Introduce A Roster Split

Konnan confirms an AEW roster split is on the horizon

While he is not directly affiliated with All Elite Wrestling, AAA Booker Konnan stated on his K100 podcast that AEW are set to introduce a roster split.

"I have heard from people inside the company that this [brand split] is going to happen," Konnan said when asked about how to handle talents who don't get along.

All Elite Wrestling are reportedly set to announce a third TV show, Collision, that will air on Saturday nights on TNT in the United States. The first show is set to air on June 17 and will feature the return of CM Punk and another major debut or return.

Punk remains a controversial figure within AEW and to keep the 44-year-old and those who don't want to be in the same building as him separated, AEW will introduce a brand split when Collision debuts. This will see CM Punk and FTR be the stars of Collision, while The Elite and Blackpool Combat Club will be headline talents on Dynamite.

Rampage - AEW's secondary TV show - will remain on Friday nights on TNT. The series is expected to feature talents from the Dynamite side of the roster as it will often be taped on Wednesday nights following a live edition of Dynamite.
