Kota Ibushi Confirms He Has Signed With AEW

Kota Ibushi is All Elite

After some sporadic appearances in the company over 2023, The Golden Star Kota Ibushi has announced that he has officially signed with AEW.

In an interview that has surfaced on X, Ibushi has revealed the news and detailed the terms of his new deal. He said that he had several demands that needed to be met, such as remaining based in Japan and traveling over for matches with a more relaxed schedule, still being able to pursue his other endeavors and compete in other promotions if he wishes.

Ibushi first arrived in AEW for the Blood & Guts match between The Elite and Blackpool Combat Club, and he noted that he and AEW made a verbal agreement to a deal on that night. Ibushi appeared very happy with the terms of the deal, with a flexible and relaxed schedule with a reduced number of dates, making his life much easier in Japan.

Ibushi has also since wrestled at the All In 2023 event, teaming with Kenny Omega & Adam Page to take on Jay White, Konosuke Takeshita, and Juice Robinson, and once again at WrestleDream in trios action in which he, Omega, and Chris Jericho battled the Don Callis Family.
