Kota Ibushi Hoping For Golden Lovers Reunion With Kenny Omega
Kota Ibushi wants to reform the Golden Lovers with Kenny Omega
After being betrayed by Don Callis on the May 10 edition of AEW Dynamite, Kenny Omega is hoping there’s someone out there who truly has his back in his war against the Blackpool Combat Club.
Luckily for Omega, not only does he have The Young Bucks, but if he wants it then he has the support of Kota Ibushi, with Ibushi hinting to Dark Puroresu Flowsion on Twitter that he wants to continue the Golden Lovers’ story:
“We believe that Golden Lovers is the best story in the world. That's why, even when we're both 50 and 60, we definitely want to become a legend tag team all over the world. It is also one of my hopes and dreams," Ibushi said.
Fans have long been hoping of an Omega/Ibushi reunion, with many AEW fans having wanted Ibushi in the company since day one. Indeed, it’s been nearly five years since the Golden Lovers last teamed, with Omega and Ibushi defeating the team of Hiroshi Tanahashi and Will Ospreay in a New Japan ring in December 2018.
