Kota Ibushi Talks About A Potential AEW Move

Could Kota Ibushi head to AEW?

Kota Ibushi currently finds himself as the hottest free agent in all of professional wrestling, after Ibushi’s contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling expired earlier this month.

Naturally, both WWE and All Elite Wrestling have been linked with a move for the inaugural IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, and during an interview with Dark Puroresu Flowsion, Ibushi spoke of a potential move to AEW:

“In the case of a contract with AEW, I would like to sign a contract with AEW that I will participate in for about a week every month until the basic foundation of the dojo is solidified," Ibushi said.

Ibushi has gone on record several times stating that he wants to operate his own wrestling school/dojo, and Ibushi suggested that WWE would have to be willing to let him have a hand in training were they to sign him to a deal.

Whilst AEW don’t have a performance centre to speak of, they do work closely with QT Marshall’s Nightmare Factory training school, whilst the likes of Bryan Danielson amongst others help coach and train upcoming wrestlers whilst also competing full-time.
