Kris Statlander Confirms Knee Injury, Was Amidst Major Push In AEW

AEW’s Kris Statlander was ruled out with injury earlier this week

It was revealed on the August 10 AEW Dynamite ‘Quake by the Lake’ that Kris Statlander was out with injury, with Toni Storm moving up in the women’s division rankings as a result.

The belief is that Statlander suffered a bad knee injury, and a report from PWInsider suggests she could be out for some time, and was spotted on crutches backstage at Dynamite. Statlander missed a chunk of time in 2020/2021 after suffering an ACL injury, but this fresh injury is to the opposite knee.

Statlander took to Twitter to confirm the injury, Tweeting the following:

“Welp. One knee fixed, one to go. After the first knee injury I came back stronger and better than ever so it’s all over for you all when I come back from this one. I’m sorry to let you all done once again. I’ll be back bigger, more powerful, and more than a woman.”

It was reported that Statlander was in the midst of what was planned to be a ‘major push’ in AEW.
