Kris Statlander Out Of Action Due To Injury

Another All Elite Wrestling talent can be added to the injury list.
During a backstage interview segment with AEW Women's World Champion Thunder Rosa and Toni Storm, Tony Schiavone announced that Kris Statlander was currently out of action due to injury. As a result, Toni Storm has moved into the top spot in the AEW rankings and she looks set to challenge Thunder Rosa for the gold soon. Statlander was second in the rankings ahead of the August 3 episode of Dynamite.
It appears Statlander suffered the injury during her match at the August 5 taping of AEW Dark which aired on Tuesday. Statlander crumbled to the mat after hitting a Big Boot on Sierra and immediately grabbed her right knee before finally making the cover.
Statlander previously suffered a torn ACL in her left knee back in 2020 and she was out of action for close to a year. The Best Friends member has been a popular star in the AEW women's roster since she signed with the company three years ago.
