Kris Statlander won't be back in an AEW ring anytime soon.
The AEW star suffered an injury at the August 5 tapings of Dark in which she crumbled to the mat following a Big Boot to Sierra and Statlander revealed on the latest AEW Road To episode that she will be out of action for six to eight months.
"After getting an MRI, I have a completely torn ACL, my lateral meniscus is torn, and there is lateral impaction fractures in my tibial and femoral heads that are more of a bruise, but technically a broken leg. So recovery time is about six to eight months post-operation," Statlander added.
Statlander previously had a lengthy period on the shelf in 2020 and early 2021 after she suffered a torn ACL in her left knee. This latest ACL tear is in her right knee.
The Best Friends member was in the midst of a major push in All Elite Wrestling but that has ultimately been derailed.
