This week's AEW: Dynamite will see Kris Statlander team with Hikaru Shida to take on the Nightmare Collective's Awesome Kong and Mel.

Statlander, who failed to capture the AEW Women's Championship during last week's episode thanks to the Collective, recently spoke to

Alicia Atout

and revealed WWE were interested in her signature before she signed with All Elite: “There’s a lot of thoughts going through my mind because the whole thing with WWE was interested in me also, so there’s a lot of stress with me because I didn’t know what I was going to do, I didn’t know what was the right choice.

"And you would think that it’s a dream come true for anybody to be offered a contract, but for me, getting signed was never an actual, legit goal of mine in wrestling, so I was like, ‘Oh, am I going to be happy, is this going to be something I want to do?’ So I was very nervous, I was very stressed about it, but I am thoroughly enjoying all my time I’ve been with AEW and all the opportunities they’ve given me so far and I have no regrets about it. So all is well.”
