Former MLW World Heavyweight Champion Krule has been pulled from one of his WrestleMania 42 weekend bookings.

Krule will no longer be in action at Game Changer Wrestling's MDK Fight Club on Thursday, April 16. Krule was scheduled to face Slade in a No Rope Barbed Wire Match, but he has been replaced by Dr. Redacted in the contest.

There was no reason given for Krule's removal, but the wrestler found himself at the centre of a controversial fan incident on Saturday, March 28 following Ruthless Pro Wrestling's OMEGA event from the Berwyn Eagles Club in Berwyn, Illinois.

After a video filmed by TJ DeHaan and shared online by deathmatch wrestler Lou Nixon showed several wrestlers punching a fan as the individual made their way out of the Berwyn Eagles Club, it was claimed the fan was attacked after allegedly stabbing Krule. Nixon claimed to Cultaholic that Krule and the individual who allegedly attacked him had issues throughout the show, while Mickie Knuckles also claimed the fan tackled Krule over the merchandise table and stabbed the wrestler.

An anonymous source, however, told Cultaholic there wasn't a stabbing and they believed the stabbing story was invented as a way to "save face and to not look bad on the internet." Video footage of the incident that has since emerged also does not show a knife during the confrontation, but it does show the fan confronting Krule before Krule begins to throw punches at the individual. GCW owner Brett Lauderdale has referred to the incident as a "fake stabbing."

New part-owner of Ruthless Pro Wrestling as of April 1, Rickey Shane Page, noted on Blvd Bullies that he doesn't know if Krule was stabbed on March 28, but that he may have had a cut that he forgot about.

"I don't know. It was after the show, I was completely covered in blood and glass. I set my merch up on the ring because there was no room at the merch tables and I just heard like a kerfuffle. I heard some shuffling and then I saw, you know, hands being thrown. Where they were landed I have no idea. Then, that person was escorted out of the building by security at Berwyn. Then, later on, Krule was like, 'Oh, I'm bleeding real bad. I don't know what from.' That's all I know," Page said

"Mind you, he had a death match with SHLAK and that involved a lot of light tubes. He might have had a cut he forgot about but I don’t know. I wasn't over there. I didn't see it. That guy was being an assh*le all night, like getting in people's faces and stuff. So like I'm not surprised that that happened. But like, I don't know, that's what you get for messing with a bunch of wrestlers and a bunch of dudes who don't play like that."

The incident on March 28 has caused Berwyn Eagles Club to lose their licence to host professional wrestling events. A GoFundMe has been launched with a goal of $3,000 to help cover operating costs for the venue while they explore new business ideas to keep the Berwyn Eagles Club alive.

Berwyn Eagles Club has hosted 284 pro wrestling events since 2005, according to Cagematch. AAW have held the vast majority of those shows, but the likes of GCW, SHIMMER and RISE have also run events at the venue.
