Kurt Angle has revealed that a WWE superstar is only given Vince McMahon's personal phone number if they've won the WWE Championship or are one of the promotion's 'top guys'.
Angle won his first WWE Title (then the WWF Championship) at No Mercy 2000 from the Rock, with the Olympic Gold Medallist revealing how his relationship with the Chairman changed after he got his hands on the World Championship.
The WWE Hall Of Famer said he only got McMahon's number after he won that first World Title because of how hands-on he likes to be with the top guys in WWE.
Angle would also reveal that any superstar with McMahon's number can call him at any time of day and get an answer, but must similarly expect a call from their boss 24/7 and be prepared to answer, no matter the time of day or night.
It is at this time that the 52-year-old believes a WWE superstar is able to build a strong relationship with McMahon.
Speaking on the latest episode of the Kurt Angle Show, he said: "Vince connects with the guys who are making him the most money, and when you are the top guy, the World Champion, you get access to his phone number.
"You can call him whenever you want, and he will answer, and he will call you whenever he wants, and you have to answer. It goes both ways, but, yeah, once you get to that level, you are involved with Vince, and that's when you build a great relationship with him."
