LA Knight Allowed To 'Freestyle' WWE NXT Promos

"There's a lot that stuff where I'm free to run and I dig that."

LA Knight has revealed WWE have allowed him to 'freestyle' is promos so far on NXT.

Renowned for having excellent promo skills, the former Eli Drake has enjoyed ample time on the microphone since making his debut on the black-and-gold brand at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day in February.

The 38-year-old conducts a lot of 'walk and talk' backstage promos, where he speaks directly to the camera and the audience watching at home as he eithers heads to the ring or paces backstage.

Knight, for his part, doesn't know how many WWE superstars are given the level of freedom he is over their promo work, but is enjoying the trust the company has put in him.

Speaking to Busted Open Radio, he said: "I don't know how or why, but I've been given a decent amount of trust in that area to the point where they're kind of letting me freestyle on a lot of it. Any of those walk-ups just before my match or before commercial, where I'm walking up and talking, that's all off the top.

"There's a lot that stuff where I'm free to run and I dig that. I don't know if everybody is getting that, but I'm digging the fact that I got that going right now."
