LA Knight Believes The WWE Pitch Black Match Will Be A Street Fight In The Dark

More on Bray Wyatt vs. LA Knight in a Pitch Black Match

The first-ever Mountain Dew Pitch Black Match is set to take place at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on January 28 and will see Bray Wyatt make his TV in-ring return to take on LA Knight.

What the match will be beyond that it is sponsored by the energy drink flavour is unknown and LA Knight previously admitted he is unsure what a Pitch Black Match is. In an update, though, the former Eli Drake revealed every indication he has been given is that the Pitch Black Match will be a Street Fight but "kind of in the dark."

"Pitch Black Match, it's something new in the making. There was something to the point of, 'I don't know what the hell this is, what the hell is this going to be.' Every indication I've been given is that this is going to be a kick-ass street fight and be kind of in the dark. I don't know what the lighting is going to be, how it's going to work, what other kind of factors or elements are going to come into play. All I know is it's going to be a fight at the Royal Rumble," LA Knight said on After the Bell.

Fans will be hoping the lighting isn't red this time, similar to how WWE booked The Fiend's matches.

Wyatt and LA Knight have been feuding since Bray returned to WWE in October of 2022. Wyatt has introduced the mysterious Uncle Howdy, who seems to be controlling the two-time Universal Champion, and he is expected to play a role in the match at the Royal Rumble.
