Several More Names Added To WWE's Royal Rumble Matches
A few more stars join the fray
Three more individuals declared their entry into the 2023 men's and women's Royal Rumble matches during Friday night's episode of SmackDown.
The first new name entering the men's Rumble match is 2006 winner Rey Mysterio. Mysterio has appeared in multiple Royal Rumble matches, dating all the way back to 2003.
Later on in the SmackDown broadcast, Intercontinental champion Gunther declared his entry into the match, and said he planned to main event WrestleMania.
For the women's match, former NXT Women's champion Raquel Rodriguez announced on SmackDown that she would be entering. Along with Gunther, Rodriguez is a first-time entrant.
The current card for the 2023 WWE Royal Rumble, taking place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, includes the following:
* Men's Royal Rumble: Kofi Kingston, Santos Escobar, Ricochet, Austin Theory, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, Baron Corbin, Rey Mysterio, Gunther, and 21 more TBA
* Women's Royal Rumble: Liv Morgan, Candice LeRae, Rhea Ripley, Raquel Rodriguez, and 26 more TBA
* WWE Universal: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Kevin Owens
* Pitch Black match: Bray Wyatt vs. LA Knight
