LA Knight Tests Positive For COVID, Cancelled Main Event SmackDown Plans Revealed

LA Knight was originally slated to save John Cena

It was supposed to be a big night for LA Knight on SmackDown this week, as the red-hot star was set to get involved in the main event of the evening to help John Cena fend off The Bloodline, though these plans were changed at the last night.

Fightful reported that LA Knight tested positive for COVID and had to leave before Friday Night SmackDown began, further explaining that he was originally supposed to be in a top spot on the card ahead of what looks to be a major tag team match at the Fastlane premium live event in a few weeks.

Instead, Cena was issued a 2-on-1 beatdown at the hands of The Bloodline members without being saved, and a match at Fastlane was scheduled, with thus far it being a handicap match due to Cena not having a partner. Earlier in the night, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso ambushed AJ Styles, who was supposed to team up with Cena on the night.
