Last Night's MSG WWE SmackDown Broke Records

WWE SmackDown breaks Madison Square Garden record

WWE has been breaking records on what seems like a weekly basis at the moment, with ticket sales and interest in the company hitting all-time highs over the last couple of years especially. It was no different with last night’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown on July 7 either, which set new records.

WWE announced on social media following the show that it was the highest grossing WWE event to ever take place at Madison Square Garden, whilst also being the highest grossing domestic SmackDown in WWE history. These are two pretty big milestones, though they are only adding to the ever-growing list of broken records being set this year, with even last week’s SmackDown being the highest ever grossing international episode.

The show saw big segments such as the Tribal Court in which Roman Reigns was put on trial by Jimmy & Jey Uso, matches such as Edge vs. Grayson Waller, and a whole load of other big names including AJ Styles, Asuka, Charlotte Flair, and more.
