Latest On Chris Jericho's Stolen AEW World Championship

The bubbly will be on ice...

Not too long after becoming the first-ever AEW World Champion in the company's history, Chris Jericho had his title belt stolen.

The Painmaker, who defeated Adam "Hangman" Page to win the title in the main event of the All Out pay-per-view on Saturday evening, reported the gold stolen to the Tallahassee Police. Jericho stated the title was taken while he was eating at a Longhorn Steakhouse.

Chris had the belt inside a limo that had taken him from the airport to the restaurant. However, he picked up the wrong bag from the airport so the driver of his rented limo took it back while the former WWE World Champion ate inside the restaurant.

Upon the driver returning to the steakhouse, the belt was no longer inside the limo.

Earlier today, Tallahassee Police confirmed the belt had been recovered before deleting their initial Facebook post, suggesting something had gone wrong.

However, All Elite Wrestling's official Twitter account then confirmed the title had been recovered and thanked the police department for their help.

The latest, as of the time of writing, sees the Tallahassee PD confirming the belt (valued at "nearly $30,000") has been recovered: "@TallyPD announces it did in fact recover @IAmJericho's championship belt earlier today. Someone turned it in at headquarters after reporting finding it along the side of the road. The golden belt was valued at nearly $30,000," tweeted Jeffrey Burlew, a reporter from the area.

On top of that, Burlew has also recently revealed that no arrests have been made: "No arrests have been made in the theft of @IAmJericho's championship belt, which was recovered today. Investigators with @TallyPD are asking anyone with information to call them at (850) 891-4200 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS."
