Latest On Sheamus' WWE Return After Missing Advertised SmackDowns

When will Sheamus return to WWE TV?

WWE scrapped another return in recent weeks as Sheamus was originally advertised to be back on TV from the November 24 edition of Friday Night SmackDown but the show came and went without an appearance from the former World Heavyweight Champion.

Sheamus has been out of action since August 18 when he sustained a loss to Edge in what turned out to be his final WWE match as Adam Copeland has since signed with All Elite Wrestling. It emerged soon after that Sheamus was on the shelf with a "really bad" shoulder injury.

Although he did not make his return on November 24, Sheamus is "supposed to be back real soon", according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio. When exactly Sheamus will make his return is unknown but he is no longer advertised for the December 8 and December 15 editions of SmackDown on WWE's website.

Sheamus' faction in the Brawling Brutes has crumbled during his time out of action with Butch and Ridge Holland at odds with one another in recent weeks. Who Sheamus will side with when he does resurface on TV is unknown.
