Report: Sheamus Dealing With Shoulder Injury

Sheamus' injury has been described as 'really bad'

WWE star Sheamus is currently out with a shoulder injury, according to a new report.

Addressing the Celtic Warrior's recent absence during Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said:

"Sheamus, really bad shoulder injury by the way. That's why he hasn’t been on TV or at the house shows."

It was not specified what type of shoulder injury he is dealing with or how long he is expected to be out for.

The 45-year-old last wrestled on the August 18 episode of SmackDown, where he lost to Edge in the show's main event. That bout was the last on Edge's current WWE deal, which is set to expire at the end of the month.

As for Sheamus, his own WWE contract is up in Q1 of next year. The former WWE Champion will become a free agent if he and WWE are unable to come to terms on a new deal.

However, depending on the severity of his current injury and how much ring time Sheamus misses, WWE could potentially automatically extend his current deal to make up for it, something they have done with various stars in the past.

Sheamus has been critical of his WWE booking of late and was outspoken about being omitted from the Money in the Bank PLE.
