Ryan Nemeth's lawsuit against All Elite Wrestling, Tony Khan, and CM Punk won't be moving to court. Nemeth's attorney has confirmed the case has been moved to private arbitration.
Nemeth filed to voluntarily dismiss his lawsuit in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, April 11 and Monday, April 14. AEW also filed on Monday to dismiss their petition to compel private arbitration. Both sides' filings were made without prejudice, meaning they can refile their claims at a later date.
Mike Caspino - Ryan Nemeth's attorney - told POST Wrestling the case was moving to private arbitration, writing:
"There has been no settlement. The parties have agreed to submit the matter to arbitration."
Ryan Nemeth filed a lawsuit against AEW, AEW President Tony Khan, and CM Punk on February 14 alleging assault, breach of contract, breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and intentional interference with prospective advantage.
AEW filed to move the case to Duval County, Florida and compel arbitration one month later, arguing an arbitration clause in Nemeth's contract stipulated any disputes were to be resolved in Duval County.
Ryan Nemeth is now a part of TNA Wrestling and he is a featured performer alongside his brother Nic Nemeth.
