Leatherface Makes His AEW Debut On Dynamite

AEW Dynamite saw the debut of… Leatherface. No, really.

You just never know who is going to show up at a wrestling event, whether it’s an exciting signing from a rival promotion, a returning star not seen for eons… or horror icon Leatherface.

Yes. The Leatherface turned up on AEW Dynamite Fight for the Fallen 2023, and not the 90s deathmatch legend, but the actual Leatherface, fictional cannibalistic murderer from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre franchise. That Leatherface.

The chainsaw-wielding lunatic appeared at the climax of an odd deathmatch between Jeff Jarrett and Jeff Hardy that served as a tie-in for the rebooted horror series, and whilst he initially appeared to be coming out to aid Jarrett, he instead booted Sonjay Dutt before chasing a terrified Karen Jarrett to the back. This odd interaction allowed Satnam Singh to re-renter the ring and flatten Jeff Hardy en route to Jarrett getting the win and the prestigious Texas Chain Saw Massacre Championship.

Leatherface is not the only fictional character to have appeared in a wrestling event, with WCW famously having Robocop help Sting in his battle against The Four Horsemen, whilst WWE once had Pee Wee Herman host Monday Night Raw, and also had The Miz eaten by zombies.

Wrestling is brilliant.
